Restoration

Whether you need Concours work to prepare your exotic for Pebble Beach or you simply desire to look and perform your best on your weekend drives, Karosserie will meet your expectations by utilizing the finest materials and craftsmanship the industry has to offer.

Our restoration standards are high and our capabilities are vast. Because authenticity is vitally important to maintaining the maximum value of the vehicle all restoration projects begin with detailed research. For quality control all fabrication, metal straightening, paint, and machine work are done in house. This includes all engine and chassis aesthetics as well.

Described by Automobile magazine as "expert", even "miraculous" in their "metal fabrication," Karosserie has honed its restoration skills for over twenty-seven years. Sheet metal panels are metal finished in the traditional method; hammered and filed straight without the use of plastic fillers. Unlike most other shops, Karosserie remains committed to lead finishing as a standard means of fitting panels. Led by restoration manager, Richard Mullin, our metal-forming team demonstrates their seasoned expertise when working with a variety of metals including: aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, and nickel alloys. Dedicated to tradition, we utilize the three main classic metal forming methods (English Wheel, Power Hammer, and Power Shrinker). In order to accommodate those early century vehicles requiring ash framing for their body structures, fine woodworking is done in house.

Exceptional paint work is crucial to any prize winning vehicle. Our painters are highly trained in the fine art of color matching. Only the latest technology in urethane enamels is used. All final finishes are sanded and polished re-creating the original lustrous look with the benefit of modern durable materials.

Custom work extends beyond the body to all areas of the car from chassis components to radiators. Karosserie’s team provides the highest quality skills whether repairing damaged panels, fabricating an existing design, or creating a prototype. From Rolls-Royce to street rods, Karosserie demonstrates that fabrication and restoration is limited only by your imagination.
